Retracting a document

Retracting a document from a GCF/SharePoint share allows you to remove the document from the share to which it has been enlisted.

Note    You must have the Manage Collaboration privilege to retract documents.

To retract a document:

  1. In Meridian Enterprise PowerUser, right-click the document that you want to retract from a GCF/SharePoint share and select Retract from SharePoint Site. The Retracting from SharePoint dialog box appears.
  2. Select the share from which you want to retract the document and click OK. The retraction is initiated.

If the document is owned by the GCF/SharePoint share, its ownership will first be transferred from the share and then the document will be deleted from the SharePoint share by the next GCF scheduled transfer. If the document is owned by a Meridian Enterprise share, the document is deleted immediately.
